Good Morning Parents,
I want to thank you all for your support and a great September! Students are adapting well to the routine of the school year and performing well in classes. This fall we have so many students involved in sports, clubs, and activities and it has been great to have the energy all throughout the building.
In September we kicked off our grade-level chapels in the PAC and this has been a great time to come together for worship. Additionally, we had our Homecoming Dance that was well attended and a fun and safe night for all students.
This month we have parent/teacher conferences on October 15th and 16th. Conferences are required for all parents and you’ll find the details below. We look forward to discussing your student’s progress with you. Additionally, our talent show is next Monday, our 11th grade retreat is on October 9th, and students will have fall break from October 17th-21st.
Again, we thank you for your partnership and support. If you have any questions or need any support our administrative staff and our teachers are here to help. We look forward to seeing you all at conferences soon!
With much respect,
Mr. Wallace

The social work team is here to support your student’s social-emotional growth throughout the year. We can help with things like: stress, anxiety, depression, communication, relationships, substance use, healthy eating, and more. If you would like for a social worker to speak with your child, you can reach us at highschoolsocialwork@augprep.org. Please include your name, your child’s name, and any concerns you have.
The social work sensory room is open to all high school students to take a 20-minute break from class if they are feeling dysregulated or finding it hard to focus.
In the sensory room, students are able to choose from a variety of regulation activities (coloring, journaling, doing a puzzle, using a weighted blanket, playing with fidgets, reading the bible, resting, etc). Students complete a short reflection of their emotions before returning back to class.
Students have identified the sensory room as a tool that helps them be more successful in the classroom. Students are able to self-refer themselves to the sensory room at any point throughout the day.
You can view all schedules and information here and should follow our Athletics Instagram page here for weekly updates.
Mark your calendars for November 6, 7, and 8 as our students bring Thornton Wilder’sOur Town to the stage! Known as one of the most celebrated plays in American theatre, Our Town explores the beauty of everyday life, love, and community in the small town of Grover’s Corners. With a minimalist set and miming in place of props, the production invites audiences to experience the story through imagination and performance. We’re also thrilled to highlight Mr. Hanrehan, our HS music teacher, in his debut as director, leading our students in this timeless and powerful piece of theatre. Tickets on sale now!
Look for a new addition to our Aug Prep Theatre Productions! Purchase a Forever Flower, created by one of our own Aug Prep parents, to share with a member of our cast or crew! See flyer for details!
