Tell us a little about yourself — both as an educator and as a person. What first inspired you to pursue education, and, more specifically, to attend Aug Prep North?

Although my professional experience is brief, I am grateful for the opportunity to work in education with the outstanding team at St. Augustine Preparatory Academy. After graduating in 2024, I joined Aug Prep’s South Campus in the Development Office for a year and a half before briefly assisting my family's business in Milwaukee. While I valued that time, I sensed that God was leading me back to Aug Prep. In January, I returned and joined the Admissions Office at the North Campus. Working at Aug Prep means belonging to a community devoted to nurturing every student’s mind, body, and spirit. Students are cared for, supported, and motivated at every stage. Who wouldn’t want to be part of such a community?

You previously attended Cardinal Stritch, which has now been transformed into the new Aug Prep Campus. What has it been like returning to a place that once shaped your own educational journey, now as a leader helping shape it for the next generation?

My years at Cardinal Stritch University provided a solid foundation for how I serve and care for others, both professionally and as a follower of Christ. As an Admissions Student Ambassador at Stritch, I guided tours for prospective students and families, and that experience shaped my approach today. Returning to this campus as an Admissions Coordinator at Aug Prep North marks a full-circle moment for me, one for which I am profoundly grateful. Now, as I share my journey during tours and highlight the campus’s transformation, I see the heritage of Christian education established by Cardinal Stritch University continuing through Aug Prep North.

As an Admission Coordinator, how do you help families feel supported throughout the admissions process?

Supporting families means consistently going above and beyond. During tours, I strive to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide thorough answers to families’ questions. When simply offering directions, each interaction is important. While I may not always have every answer instantly, I focus on finding solutions and following up with care and professionalism. My goal is to exceed expectations, communicate clearly, and deeply engage with every family who enters Aug Prep North.

"We always go the extra mile for every child who walks through our doors."

- Jacob Carlson, Aug Prep North Admission Coordinator

When families choose Aug Prep North, what are they really becoming a part of?

Joining Aug Prep North means becoming part of a Christ-centered community of mentors, leaders, and supporters who walk alongside every student and family from the moment they first step onto campus to graduation. From the field to the classroom, to center stage, we encourage and support our students as they grow into leaders. Our support extends beyond academics throughout the school year with on- and off-campus events, volunteer opportunities, and resources that remain accessible year-round.

How does the mission of Aug Prep North shape the admissions experience?

Just as our students feel heard, seen, and supported in class, we deliver that same attentive care to every family in Admissions. By guiding families through campus, showcasing student spaces, and navigating the application process, we bring compassion and respect to each encounter. We always aim to exceed expectations. Our families deserve unwavering commitment and support every moment.

How do you hope students grow during their time at Aug Prep North — beyond academics?

At Aug Prep North, students perform in our Performing Arts Center, collaborate in our fieldhouse or on turf, benefit from exceptional library and classroom resources, and expand their networks with professional mentors at Aug Prep and throughout Milwaukee via our College and Career Center. While academic growth remains a priority, I believe each student will also grow into impactful leaders in Milwaukee and beyond. This holistic approach ensures students develop skills and networks for lasting success.
