A New Chapter Begins: Aug Prep North Welcomes Students for the First Day of School

After years of planning, construction, and preparation, the former Cardinal Stritch University campus welcomed a new community of learners, educators, and families as approximately 330 students arrived for the first day of the 2026–27 school year.

The excitement was unmistakable. Students walked through the doors ready to explore their new school, reconnect with friends, meet their teachers, and begin a new chapter together.

The opening of Aug Prep North represents more than the opening of a new school campus. It marks the beginning of a new chapter for a historic Milwaukee-area campus and creates new opportunities for students and families to experience an Aug Prep education.

The transformation of the former Cardinal Stritch University campus has been years in the making. Through significant investment, planning, and construction, the campus has been reimagined as a place where students can learn, grow, build relationships, and discover their God-given potential.

Now, the halls are filled with the sounds of students learning, laughing, and growing together.

The first day also brought this year's Aug Prep theme to life: Stronger Together: United in Christ.

Our theme verse, 1 Corinthians 12:20, reminds us, “As it is, there are many parts, but one body.”

While every student, family, and staff member brings unique gifts and experiences to our community, we are united by a shared mission and a commitment to helping every student thrive.

At Aug Prep North, that means creating a community where faith, family, academics, and athletics and arts come together to develop the whole child—mind, body, and soul.

From the first greetings in the morning to the excitement throughout the school day, the first day at Aug Prep North was filled with moments worth celebrating.

Students explored their classrooms and campus, teachers welcomed their new classes, and families watched as their children became part of something new.

For many, this day was the beginning of their Aug Prep journey. For others, it was the beginning of a new chapter within a community that continues to grow.

Most importantly, the first day reminded us that a school is more than its buildings. A school comes to life through its students, families, teachers, and the community they create together.

The first day is only the beginning.

As Aug Prep North looks ahead to its first year, we are excited for the countless opportunities, milestones, challenges, celebrations, and memories that await our students.
